Daytona Beach Area Real Estate Market

Realtor sale of single family homes through the Daytona Beach area MLS were up 13% in December 2008 compared to December 2007, but the median price came down 22%. For the same comparison, condo sales were down 10% and median prices were down 35%. Statewide values were down 32%. Comparing 2008 sales to 2007 sales for Florida, the overall average of single family home sales was down 4% and values decreased 20%. The Daytona Beach area including Ormond By The Sea, residential sales were down 9% with a 16% drop in sales prices.
