    BUSINESS BRIEFS 

  *  Peckers Pub has been sold and is currently closed for renovations.  It will become Seaside Tavern.
  *  Ormond Beach Kayak Center at 1750 Ocean Shore Blvd. has a new owner.  Offering Kayak tours, bike rentals, and     live and  frozen shrimp for bait.  
  *  Floor and Cabinet Factory Outlet is open at the north end of the Ormond Mall.  They have cabinets, flooring, granite   and kitchen remodels.
  *  The 7-11 is now open in front of the Publix on Ocean Shore Blvd.

    LOCAL NOTES
  -  Oklahoma Joe’s Bar-B-Cue restaurant is now open at One Daytona.
  -  Jet Blue will discontinue service to Daytona Beach effective January 8, 2019.
  -  Work on A1A in Flagler Beach should begin in January.  Repairs will probably take about a year.
  -  American Airlines will begin a weekend, nonstop flight to NY LaGuardia in May 2019.
  -  Silver Airways will begin daily flights to FT. Lauderdale beginning January 16, 2019.
