Cinematique of Daytona
Synopsis: Father and son are on the opposite sides of musical tastes as well as politics and the war in Vietnam. Son Gabriel disappears into the counterculture following a devastating confrontation with his father. The film opens nearly two decades later, when Gabriel has been found wandering the streets of New York City. This is the tale of a father, Henry,who struggles to bond with his estranged son after he suffers from a brain tumor that prevents him from forming new memories. With Gabriel unable to shed the beliefs and interests that caused their physical and emotional distance, Henry must learn to embrace his son's choices and try to connect with him through music.
