Daytona Beach Post Office Processing Operations To Be closed

Daytona Beach Post Office Processing Operations To Be Consolidated in Lake Mary


The US Post Office processing and distribution activities now performed at the Bill France Blvd. facility are being merged with the Mid-Florida Post Office in Lake Mary. One result of the consolidation will be that outgoing mail deposited in Daytona Beach Area mailboxes will no longer receive a Daytona Beach Postmark. The Daytona Beach Postmark will only be available upon request.

The consolidation which is expected to save the US Postal Service $5.7 million a year is expected to be completed this summer.

Retail operations at the Bill France Post Office will remain open as usual during and after the consolidation.

As of February 28, 2011 we have 85 Ormond By The Sea Florida condos for sale through the Daytona Beach Area Multiple Listing Service (MLS).  There are 51 priced $200,000 orLeeward Winds Condo 401 $175,000 lower and 8 of those are under $100,000. Additionally, there are 13 condos under contract pending closing of which 5 involve the lender.  There are 10 of the 85 condos for sale involving a lender , either short sales or foreclosures. 

  Many owners have turned to rentals or have decided to wait until the market improves to put their condo back on the market.
