 Through the Daytona Beach Area Realtors® Multiple Listing Service (MLS) there were 4 Plantation Bay Golf and Country Cub home sold in April, 2011.  Additionally, there are 7 homes under contract waiting closing and 3 of those have lender involvement as either a short sale or foreclosure.  
The homes sold were:
3 bedroom on Kingsley Circle for $104,500
3 bedroom on Crowne Point for $182,500
3 bedroom on Sunningdale Lane for $270,500
4 bedroom on Redbourne Lane for $470,000

There was lender involvement in one of the April 2011 homes sold in Plantation Bay Golf and Country Cub.  The 4 sales compares favorably to the number of sales in previous years during April.  Since 2006(one sale) only 2009(5 sales) had more sales than 2011.

Daytona Beach Hippiefest

Daytona Beach Hippiefest 2011, the 3rd annual event. 



Peabody Auditorium

 A concert of Love and Peace, the 3rd annual Hippiefest in Daytona Beach, Florida is planned for August 26, 2011 at the Peabody Auditorium, 600 Auditorium Blvd. Daytona Beach, FL 32118.  Parking is available at the Ocean Center parking garage(say you are attending a concert at the Peabody and receive a discount) and several lots with-in a couple of blocks of the Peabody.  Valet parking is also available.

A Free Street Festival will begin at 4p.m. in front of the Auditorium featuring live music and vendors for food and other hippie related stuff. Wear your Woodstock or Hippie garb to create a great fun event.

The concert begins at 7:30 and features greats from the 60's, 70's so get ready to clap and sing along and stomp your feet.

Additionally, there are 44 homes under contract waiting closing and 27 of those have lender involvement. The highest priced home sold was a 4 bedroom on John Anderson Drive for $895,000 and the lowest priced was a 2-bedroom 1 bath on Seabreeze Drive for $80,000.

Comparing to last year, there were 16 Ormond By The Sea Florida homes sold in April,  2010 and 9 of those involved the lender.

Relay for Life of Ormond Beach, Florida.  The American Cancer Society Relay for Life will be at Destination Daytona in Ormond Beach, Florida June 4, 2011.  The walk begins at 12:30 p.m. Teams are organized and camp out near the site and rotate for 18 - 24 hours so someone from each team is walking  at all times.  Walks are scheduled for 18 - 24 hours.

The City Of Palm Coast presents a Free Movie In Central Park

The City of Palm Coast and the Flagler County Schools proudly present 'Yogi Bear' on Friday, May 13th at dusk in Central Park in Town Center. The featured movie is shown on a huge screen in the stage area at the main entrance to the park. Concessions will be available to add to a really enjoyable family movie experience.
Friday Night Movie in Central Park will be held on the second Friday evening of each month (except December,January and February)  in Central Park at Palm Coast.  Plan to bring your own blankets, chairs, bug spray and enjoy some special moments with your family.  Admission is free.

Central Park at Town Center is located one half mile north of Flagler Palm Coast High School on Bulldog Drive, off State Road 100. Central Park is at the corner of Bulldog Drive and Central Ave in Palm Coast Florida.

There are 92 Homes for Sale in Ormond By The Sea, Florida through the Daytona Beach Area Realtors®  Multiple Listing Service as of April 30, 2011.     An additional  44 homes are under contract awaiting closing.  As has been the case in recent months lenders are pricing their properties more aggressively to get quicker sales.  Lenders are involved in 11 of the 92 homes for sale (12%) and 27 (61%) of the 44 homes under contract and 6 (33%) of the 18 homes sold in April 2011.

Thirteen condos sold in Ormond By The Sea, Florida during April, 2011 through the Daytona Beach Area Association of Realtors® Multiple Listing Service (MLS), three of which involved a lender.  That number is higher than the 2010 average of 5.5 sales each month.  April, 2010 had 4 sales.   
There are also 12 condos under contract pending sales closing and 7 of those involves a lender.
Everyone is hopeful that the sales volume that we saw in April, 2011 will continue although half of the sales were for under $100,000 and only 3 were for over $150,000.
Of the 81 condos actively for sale on the market, 4 involve a lender.

Volusia County Florida will begin their annual auction of tax certificates for properties whose taxes are not paid.  The list of available certificates will be posted on https://www.bidvolusia.com/ which is the web site where the public can go to register for bidding.  Sale proceeds pay the Ad Velorum taxes due but do not

actually transfer ownership of the property.  Property owners have 2 years to redeem the certificate at the County offices.
