Of the 44 Ormond By The Sea Florida homes sold in the 3rd Quarter 2011, 12 involved the lender as either a short sale or foreclosure, less than 30%.  Only 2006, 2007 and 2009 had fewer sales than this past quarter than in any year since 2001.  The 2011 total was 18% lower than 2010.
The average price per square foot has remained fairly stable since 2009.  While values have increased over last year, they are now within the 2001-2002 range so we are back to where we were about 10 years ago.
Homes sold were on the market for an average of only 80 days, which is the fewest average DOM since 2005 and the first time that number has gone down since 2007.

In a effort to make more information available to Ormond By The Sea, Florida visitors, newcomers, residents and out of town owners. Ocean View Realty Group is adding an index of Ormond By The Sea, Florida businesses to its web site.  The initial page has a list of business that are located in or serve Ormond By The Sea.  Business names will be made a link to another page where there is a little more information. The plan is to add more information and photos as time permits.
Although there is no actual endorsement of the businesses listed, Ocean View Realty Group has had positive experiences with these businesses.  Any business with a negative report will not be listed.  Nothing fancy, just the information you need.  Remember, this is a work in progress and we will try to add a little more each week.

Oct 07, 2011 through Oct 09, 2011. Three days of fabulous blues music performed by local and upcomming artists and featuring John Nemeth, Sean Chambers Band, The Headers, Darren Johnson, Eric Culberson and many more.
Daytona Blues Festival
The music begins Friday night, October 7, 2011 at 5:30PM and continues Saturday, October 8th - Noon to 11pm and Sunday, October 9th Noon to 10PM. Lots of food and drink and fun and music are going to be there so plan to be a part of this great event that helps support a worthy cause.

Tickets are just $25 and are available at Ticketmaster 1-800-745-3000. Kids under 10 are free.
