As of July 31, 2013 we have 46 Ormond By The Sea Florida condos for sale through the Daytona Beach Area Realtors® Multiple Listing Service (MLS).  There are 36 priced under $200,000 and 12 of those are under $100,000. Additionally, there are 25 condos under contract pending closing of which 6 involve a lender as a short sale or foreclosure.  There are 7 of the 46 condos for sale involving a lender, either as a short sale or foreclosure.

We began this year with 57 Ormond By The Sea condos for sale so the inventory has stayed relatively low.  There were 95 for sale at the beginning of 2011 so the inventory has been reduced dramatically making for a more balanced market.

Daytona International Speedway is about to transform itself over the next couple of years.

This historic project is driven by the speedway’s commitment to provide race fans with a world-class experience and broke ground on July 5, 2013.  Completion is planned for January 2016, in time for the 54th Rolex 24 At Daytona and the 58th Daytona 500.  The backstretch seating is planned to be eliminated by 2016 also.

Once completed, Daytona International Speedway’s new front-stretch will blend the modern amenities that today’s sports fans demand with the heritage that race fans expect from Daytona. The stadium will feature new, larger seats in all sections of the front-stretch, upgraded ticket gates, 5 upgraded and expanded entrances on International Speedway Blvd., 40 escalators, 10 elevators and 11 football field size fan entertainment areas with new and additional restrooms, concessions and merchandise locations.  Each entrance leads fans to the escalators and elevators leading to three concourse levels.  The open sight line design and added video screens will allow fans to keep up with the action on the track while away from their seats.

The new fan entertainment areas will be called neighborhoods and the central neighborhood is to be known as the world center of racing.  This central neighborhood will feature and celebrate the more than 50 years of racing at Daytona International Speedway.  

As part of the redevelopment, Daytona International Speedway will reduce its seating capacity by nearly one-third of the current capacity but provide for future expansion of seating.

Mystics to perform in Ormond Beach Florida

The Mystics will be at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center November 16 2013.  The Gold Tones featuring Michael Russo will be the opening act in a tribute to the Duprees.  The doors will open at 6PM with the show beginning at 7PM.  

The Mystics will perform favorites from the 60’s including their hit song “Hushabye”.  This should be a great evening of oldies and Doo Wop music.

Reserved tickets are $33 and make terrific gifts.

There are 80 Homes for Sale in Ormond By The Sea, Florida through the Daytona Beach Area Association of Realtors® Multiple Listing Service (MLS) as of June 30, 2013. An additional 42 homes are under contract awaiting closing. As has been the case in recent months, lenders are pricing their properties more aggressively to get quicker sales. Lenders are involved in 5 of the 80 homes for sale but 16, almost half, of the 42 homes under contract. Asking prices for Ormond By The Sea homes currently for sale range from $98,900 to $1,290,000.
The inventory of Ormond By The Sea Florida homes for sale has stabilized and that is a good indicator that the market may be getting back to a being more balanced between buyers and sellers. There are investors waiting for the lower priced homes to come available and if homes come on the market at a reasonable price they are being sold quickly.

At the beginning of 2012 there were 25 Ormond By The Sea homes under contract and now there are 42, which is another good indicator for the health of the market.
At the beginning of this year there were 91 Ormond By The Sea Florida homes for sale so the inventory has been reduced which will help strengthen the market.

Independence Day Celebrations in and around Ormond Beach Florida.  

There are several fireworks displays and celebrations in and around Independence Day, July 4, 2013 near Ormond By The Sea Florida.  These are a few of the closest.

North of Ormond By The Sea Florida in Flagler Beach, there are festivities all day beginning at 10AM and fireworks are scheduled to begin at 9:15PM

off the Flagler Beach Pier.  For additional information call 386-437-0106.

On Friday, July 5th there will be

Fireworks for Independence Day
