I received a letter from the post office indicating the Daytona Beach Florida post office at 500 Bill France Blvd was recommended to close by a study being done to try to save money.  Then this morning a Headline in the Daytona Beach News-Journal indicated the same thing.  The closure would mean the loss of over 100 local jobs, the Daytona Beach postmark, next day local delivery and possible mail delays.  There is a public hearing to accept public input on the proposed closure scheduled for Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 7 PM at the Plaza hotel, 600 N Atlantic Ave., in Daytona Beach.  Public comments may also be submitted to: Manager Consumer affairs
