A DVA benefit not many people know about. The Aid and Attendance Special Pension benefit was designed for those who need the Aid and Attendance of another person in performing their daily living activities, are severely visually impaired; or are permanently housebound.

This is a tax free benefit for senior veterans and their spouses. My understanding of this means tested benefit is that all wartime veterans over 65 years old qualify as long as the medical necessity is present.

The Ormond Beach Florida Celtic Music Festival is presented by the Ormond Beach Main Street Merchants Association and is scheduled for Saturday March 19, 2011 from 10 AM to 10 PM and Sunday March 20, 2011 from 10 AM to 5 PM at Rockefeller Gardens Park.  Rockefeller Gardens is a riverfront park at the southeast corner of the Granada Bridge in Ormond Beach Florida at 26 Riverside Dr.  For information about the Park call 386-676-3216

Additionally, there are 37 homes under contract waiting closing and 24 of those have lender involvement. The highest priced home sold was a 4 bedroom on Eloise Circle for $280,000 and the lowest priced was a 2-bedroom 1 bath on Hibiscus Drive for $66,000.

 Five condos sold in Ormond By The Sea, Florida during February, 2011 through the Daytona Beach Area Realtors® Multiple Listing Service (MLS), three of which involved a lender.  That number is consistent with the 2010 average of 5.5 sales each month and is higher than February 2009 and 2010 during which there were only 2 sales each.  There are also 12 condos under contract pending sales closing and 5 of those involves a lender.
Of the 85 condos actively for sale on the market, 10 involve a lender.

The high inventory of  85 Ormond By The Sea condos for sale continues to indicate a buyers market and is about 17 months of inventory if we continue to sell 5 each month.  There was an average of 5.5 condos sold each month in 2010.Here is the list of the January 2011 condo sales.
