Through the Daytona Beach Area Association of Realtors® Multiple Listing Service (MLS) there were 12 Ormond By The Sea, Florida homes sold in August, 2011. Three (3) of the sales had lender involvement, either a short sale or foreclosure. Additionally, there are 35 homes under contract waiting closing and 18 of those have lender involvement. The highest priced home sold was a 3 bedroom on River Lane for $484,900 and the lowest priced was a 2-bedroom 1 bath on Hibiscus Drive for $65,000.Comparing to last year, there were 16 Ormond By The Sea Florida homes sold in August, 2010 and 7 of those involved the lender, either a short sale or foreclosure. There were 6 homes sold in August 2009.
The high number of homes under contract (35) and the reduction in the inventory ( 98 homes for sale) are both good signs that the market may be getting stronger.
