Additionally, there are 2 homes under contract waiting closing and none of those have lender involvement. The highest priced home sold was a 3 bedroom on Coquina Dr for $449,000 and the lowest priced was a 2 Bedroom on Roberta Rd  for $102,100.

Sea Turtle Nesting Season 2015 begins in Ormond By The Sea Florida

Sea Turtle Nesting Season 2015 begins in Ormond By The Sea Florida

East Central Florida including Ormond By The Sea, Daytona Beach and all of Volusia County are under lighting restrictions from May 1 to October 31 each year. The restrictions are designed to protect several species of endangered and threatened sea turtles that come ashore to lay their eggs. On average it takes 48-60 days for their eggs to hatch.  Female turtles come ashore beginning May first and lay their eggs in the sand above the tide line,balcony,

porch and other lights that could potentially be seen from the beach must be turned off or shielded.  Draw drapes or otherwise keep lights off that may confuse the little hatchlings.  Hatchlings head to the ocean when they emerge from their nest and could be confused by lights coming from the opposite direction.

Homes for sale in Ormond By The Sea Florida

There are 85 Homes for Sale in Ormond By The Sea, Florida through the Daytona Beach Area Association of Realtors®  Multiple Listing Service (MLS) as of March 31, 2015. An additional 10 homes are under contract awaiting closing.  As has been the case in recent months, lenders are pricing their properties more aggressively to get quicker sales.  Lenders are involved in 9 of the 85 homes for sale .  Asking prices for Ormond By The Sea homes currently for sale range from $78,900 to $219,000.

The inventory of Ormond By The Sea Florida homes for sale has stabilized and that is a good indicator that the market may be getting back to a being more balanced between buyers and sellers.  There are investors waiting for the lower priced homes to come available and if homes come on the market at a reasonable price they are being sold quickly.  

At the beginning of 2012 there were 25 Ormond By The Sea homes under contract and now there are 85, which is another good indicator for the health of the market.

At the beginning of last year there were 85 Ormond By The Sea Florida homes for sale so the inventory has not increased.
