There are 91 Homes for Sale in Ormond By The Sea, Florida through the Daytona Beach Area Association of Realtors®  Multiple Listing Service (MLS) as of September 30, 2012.     An additional  34 homes are under contract awaiting closing.  As has been the case in recent months, lenders are pricing their properties more aggressively to get quicker sales.  Lenders are involved in 12 of the 91 homes for sale (14%) but 13, more than a third (36%), of the 34 homes under contract.  Asking prices for Ormond By The Sea homes currently for sale range from $72,500 to $1,599,000.
The inventory of Ormond By The Sea Florida homes for sale has stabilized and that is a good indicator that the market may be getting back to a being more balanced between buyers and sellers.  There are investors waiting for the lower priced homes to come available and if homes come on the market at a reasonable price they are being sold quickly.  The number of homes for sale in Ormond By The Sea has increased since last month when there were 89 homes for sale.

Through the Daytona Beach Area Association of Realtors® Multiple Listing Service (MLS) there were 11 Ormond By The Sea, Florida homes sold in August, 2012.  One  (1) of the sales had lender involvement, either a short sale or foreclosure. Additionally, there are 27 homes under contract waiting closing and 6 of those have lender involvement. The highest priced home sold was a 3 bedroom on River Lane for $507,000 and the lowest priced was a 2-bedroom 1 bath on Sunny Shore for $70,000.  The number of sales is the fewest in any of the past 10 years.

Through the Daytona Beach Area Association of Realtors® Multiple Listing Service (MLS) there were 16 Plantation Bay Golf and Country Club home sold in August, 2012.  None of the sales had lender involvement as either a short sale or foreclosure.  All of the sales were in the price ranges, between $160,000 and $292,464.  An additional 14 Plantation Bay homes are under contract awaiting closing and 3 of those involve a lender either a short sale or foreclosure.
 

The Space Needle on the Daytona Beach Pier

The Space Needle on the Daytona Beach Pier has been dismantled and removed.  Rusted pieces falling were considered a danger.   The 176 foot tower has not been used since 2005.  The structure was built in 1969.

Beach Cafe Food Truck

The Beach Café Food Truck is no longer at Tom Renick Park. Contract issues with the county have been cited as the reason for the business closing.
