Washington Oaks State Park Becomes A Historic District

The Washington Oaks Gardens State Park off A1A in Flagler County recently was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Historic District for the period of 1937 to 1965. The Historic District encompasses 21 acres of the 389 acres National Park. During the recent celebration a new gift shop opened in one of the old re-furbished buildings. Marineland, in Northern Flagler County received the Historic designation in 1986.
