Gaslight Parade and antique Car Show in Ormond Beach Florida, The Birthplace of Speed

On Friday and Saturday following Thanksgiving, Ormond Beach Florida will once again salute the automobile and the city's substantial place in its evolution. At 7 p.m. on Friday, November 26, over 300 cars will leave the Casements on the east side of the Halifax River on Granada Blvd., lined up in chronological order, making the 53rd annual Gaslight Parade a true rolling history of the evolution of the automobile. Sponsored and staged by the Volusia Region AACA, it is one of the finest, if not the finest, antique automobile parades in the world.  
The 2010  Gaslight Parade and Antique Car show will honor the Studebaker automobile. The show and parade feature only 1985 and older original vehicles The Gaslight Parade begins from the Casements and goes East along Granada Blvd. to A1A then South to Harvard, then right onto Riverside Drive and back to the Casements.

On Saturday, the Birthplace of Speed Antique Car show will be from 10 AM to 4 PM.  Presented by the Volusia Region AACA, the show will consist of over 100 restored and original antique/classic cars.  The Antique Car show will be in the beautiful Fortunato Park, on the Northeast corner of the Granada Bridge in Ormond Beach. 
Spectators will be admitted free to all events. Visitors will also enjoy musical entertainment, old-fashioned food, and may add a visit to many of Ormond's historical treasures - the Ormond Hotel Cupola, the Historical Trust MacDonald House and the Ormond Memorial Art Museum and Gardens.
