Through the Daytona Beach Area Realtors Multiple Listing Service there were 16 Ormond By The Sea, Florida homes sold in June,  2010. Eight (50%) of the sales had bank involvement, either a short sale or foreclosure. Additionally, there are 41 homes under contract waiting closing and 22 of those have lender involvement . The highest priced home sold was a 3-bedroom on River Lane for $470,000 and the lowest priced was a 3-bedroom 2 bath on Carol Road for $60,000.

Fourth of July Independence Day Celebration

Celebrate the 4th on the banks of the Halifax River.

The free Independence Day Celebration in Ormond Beach Florida will feature Food, music, games and fireworks July 4, 2010 6PM to 10PM. Fireworks start at 9:30 PM.

The event takes place at 3 corners of the Granada Bridge: Rockefeller Gardens, Fortunato Park, and City Hall Plaza. There will be food and music on each corner. In the patriotic Kids' Corner at Fortunato Park there will be juggling, a magic show, strolling performers, arts and crafts, games, and inflatables. Uncle Sam, Ben Franklin and Abe Lincoln are expected to attend to talk with the kids.

There is a paved walkway under the east side of the Granada Bridge to allow walking from Fortunato Park to Rockefeller Gardens.
